Translaholics (aka Young Translators Community) is a translingual career orientation project based in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. Our main working languages are Vietnamese and English. Our external network includes native-Vietnamese speakers who master major languages across Southeast Asia or officially used within international protocols such as Arab League, United Nations or European Union. Our main focus is mother tongue capacity for Vietnamese translation practitioners.
As there is a need for public connection between linguists and the other part of the language industry. As there is no official association for translators and interpreters in Vietnam in particular and ASEAN in general. ASEAN Translators Open Database Project, also known as Polyglot Practice Network (started by Mekongaholics), is aimed to centralize multilingual practitioners as part of the ASEAN Community building process through empowering young people in multi-cultural dialogue to help promote sustainable development goals via multilingual context. The full list of registered translators can be found here: http://translaholics.weebly.com/asean-translators-open-database.html Registered translators are encouraged to interact with other colleagues here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/polyglotnetwork/ To get your name listed as part of ASEAN Translators Open Database Project, please refer to this link: http://goo.gl/forms/DYhgqWWTFj |
